The Scalarworks Scope LEAP is currently my favorite and go-to mount for magnified optics. It is the lightest mount on the market, making it just over 5oz. Made in America and constructed out of 7075-T6, it is no slouch, and is extremely rugged and durable. The patented QD ClickDrive mounting system is very slim and strealimed, and holds reliable zero every time as well as consistent return to zero when dismounted and re-mounted. Also equipped with patented LevelDrive, leveling your scope has even been easier or faster, and is idiot proof. Optic mounts are just as important as the optic itself, so buying a high quality and reputable mount is imperative when setting up your rifle. 
 
Currently available in 1.57"(Lower 1/3) or 1.93" height. 
 
1.57"(Lower 1/3) is normal height for most optic mounts, and is a good balance between a natural upright shooting position and a more comfortable prone position.
 
1.93" gives more of a heads up shooting position, allowing the shooter's neck to be in a more natural upright position when shooting while still being able to get a cheek weld, however it does not lend itself that well to shooting prone.
